Team Waverley Shine at the ISA Athletics

On Wednesday, a group of Waverley pupils proudly represented the school at the ISA London West Regional Athletics Meeting, held at the Thames Valley Athletics Centre in Eton. With over 40 schools in attendance, our athletes competed in a range of events including high jump, long jump, shot put, vortex and various track races.

A huge congratulations to all of the children who took part in the competition. They represented the school brilliantly and should be very proud of their achievements. A special well done goes to our medal winners: Anya, who came 1st in the 75m Sprint; Jerald, who achieved 2nd place in Shot Put and Dominic, who came 1st in the Vortex - even setting a new championship record! Congratulations also to Dominic, Hugo, Matthew and Samuel, who worked together to win 1st place in their Relay. See a selection of photos here.

Thanks to their fantastic performances, Anya, Dominic, Hugo, Matthew and Samuel have qualified to represent London West at the National Finals in Birmingham on Monday 15th June. Well done to everyone who took part.
